It underwent a beautiful renovation recently so the atmosphere is really warm and upscale without being stuffy. This is a place you can relax. No need to dress fancy. George between Strand Capitol and Harp and Fiddle Extended Italian family took an iconic and strange downtown building that was totally trashed and with enormous blood, sweat and tears turned it into a marvelously over-the-top downtown restaurant. Wonderful Italian food in a warm inviting atmosphere. Excellent pasta. Great selection of wines. Don't miss the intimate upstairs bar. Colosseo is one of York's best new restaurants. Lew's -- A Breakfast/Lunch Counter Central Market (corner of Philadelphia & Beaver in downtown York) Lew's is an oasis, a breakfast/lunch counter that defies description...but here goes: This place looks normal from a distance but when you grab a stool, you'll soon find the food and service are otherworldly. Lew's has soul. Fantastic burgers and grilled cheese. Milkshakes served in lava lamp glasses. Fresh produce and meats bought directly from fellow market vendors (Dietz Produce, Conrads, and Millers).
